Business Journey is run by Jillian Sellars. Jillian is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years experience, specialising in taxation, training and accounting services for government and not-for profit entities.
Jillian is the author of the Administration of Fringe Benefits Tax; Better Practice Guide issued by the Australian National Audit Office and Australian Taxation Office in February 2006. Jillian was selected as the author of the FBT Better Practice Guide because of her extensive experience in providing FBT and other taxation services to Australian Government entities.
As well as having a keen interest in FBT, Jillian enjoys providing guidance in the area of salary packaging. Jillian can work with the organisation and/or individual employees to ensure that salary packaging arrangements are working effectively and that the employees are maximising their post-tax remuneration.
Jillian has strong communication and training skills, developed from providing in-house training sessions for a number of government entities and from being a focus session leader for the ‘Taxation', ‘Management Accounting and Analysis' and ‘Ethics and Business Applications' modules of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Chartered Accountant Program.
Jillian has worked as a Financial Controller for a number of government and not-for-profit entities. This has involved all aspects of financial management, including insurance manaegement, treasury management, budgeting, monthly reporting and preparation of financial statements, preparation of Chief Executive's Instructions and a working knowledge of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.
Where necessary, Business Journey engages contractors to perform specialist services. Business Journey has business relationships with a number of consulting and contracting firms in Canberra, Sydney and in several country areas.
